We strive to be responsible stewards of our land, not just because it’s the right thing to do but also because it’s the best way to make authentic, distinctive wines. As a family-owned wine company, we are committed to producing India’s finest wines through sustainable winemaking and viticulture operations. For us, protecting the natural environment isn’t the whole story, we want to enhance the land and enrich the lives of the community dependent on our businesses.
In 1999, Rajeev Samant established Sula Vineyards, Nashik's first winery and paved the way for the emergence of India's Wine Capital, with almost 35 other wineries following suit in the region over the next decade.
The name "Sula" came from his mother's name - "Sulabha" - and symbolized the rich, Indian heritage of his wines.
This was a wine that took pride in being Indian, being the first company in the country to use an Indian logo.
Today, Sula is India's leading wine company and is leading the charge of Indian wine across the wine world. Sula is one of the most eco-friendly companies in India, with a significant amount of its resources committed to sustainable winemaking practices and ensuring fair livelihoods for Sula's community of farmers across Maharashtra and Karnataka.
A large number of Sula's workers come from disadvantaged communities and have seen a significant change in their standard of living through their employment with the company; this has been nothing short of a revolution in the surrounding villages.
Sula Vineyards has quickly gained a reputation as India’s #1 premium wine company since the launch of the company’s first wines in 2000.
Sula’s award-winning wines are available nationwide at the finest hotels and restaurants and are also exported to Asia, Europe, the United States and Canada.
The vineyards are in Nashik Valley, India’s finest wine region. Located 180 km. from Mumbai and 600 m above sea level, Nashik’s climate and soil are perfect for growing a wide variety of premium wine grapes.
Sula engages in eco-friendly viticulture and winemaking.
Sula is available in supermarkets such as nearest convenience stores such as Sheng Siong, NTUC Fairprice, specialised stores and supermarkets across Singapore.
